This is an Italian inspired recipe made with Vodka and Penne Pasta. A nice change from your typical tomato sauce. The Vodka helps to enhance the flavor of the creamy sauce, top with cheddar mozzarella.

    Mayonnaise 1 Tablespoon
    Grated Cheddar Cheese 70 Gram
    Baby Spinach 50 Gram
    Garlic, Clove 1 None
    Bread, Burger Bun, Ciabatta 2 None
    Onion, Red 1/2 None
    Cucumber, Mini 2 None
    Vinegar, Balsamic 1 Tablespoon

            Beef, inside round, strips 500 Gram
            Mayonnaise 2 Tablespoon
            Cheese, Cheddar, grated 140 Gram
            Spinach, Baby 100 Gram
            Garlic, Clove 2 None

            Onion, Red 1 None
            Cucumber, Mini 4 None
            Vinegar, Balsamic 2 Tablespoon

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Setup

Preheat the oven to Broil.

Chop the garlic. Thinly slice the cucumbers and the onion. Slice the bread in half.

Step 2

Make the salad

Mix the spinach with the cucumbers, the mayonnaise, the garlic and a drizzle of oil. Add salt and pepper.

Step 3

Cook the onions

In a pan, over medium heat a drizzle of oil. Cook the onion for 4-5 minutes. Add salt. Add the balsamic vinegar and cook for 2-3 minutes.

 

Step 4

Cook the steak

Add salt and pepper to the steak. Cook for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Bake in the oven

Put the slices of bread on a lined sheet pan. Top with the onions, the steak and the cheese. Bake in the oven for 2-3 minutes until the cheese has melted.

Step 6

Plate your dish

Serve the steak melts with the salad. Bon appétit!
