This is an Italian inspired recipe made with Vodka and Penne Pasta. A nice change from your typical tomato sauce. The Vodka helps to enhance the flavor of the creamy sauce, top with cheddar mozzarella.

    Parsley, Curly, fresh 10 Gram
    Chicken, ground 300 Gram
    Pasta, Short, Penne 200 Gram
    Vodka 15 Milliliter
    Tomato, diced, canned 199 Milliliter

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Prepare ingredients

Heat oven to 350 F. Finely dice the garlic. Finely chop the parsley, divide into two. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.

Step 2

Cook the pasta

Add the Penne pasta to the pot of boiling water. Cook for 8- 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

Prepare the creamy vodka sauce

In large frying pan or skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over moderate heat. Add the chicken to skillet. Cook, breaking up the meat, until brown. Add garlic and cook, stirring until garlic is golden brown. Add diced tomatoes and salt.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Finish the sauce and the pasta

Add the vodka & red pepper flake sauce, add cream and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Add half of the parsley to the sauce, add pasta, stir to combine together for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Bake the penne

Scoop half of the already combined penne pasta into your baking dish, spread half of the mozzarella cheese and then add the rest of the penne pasta and top with the rest of the mozzarella cheese. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or
until cheese is melted. Remove from the oven.

Step 6

Serve your dish

Scoop the baked penne pasta into your serving dish. Garnish with the reminder of the fresh parsley. Bon Appetite!!
